Lunch what a feast!

So I meet with a friend for lunch. It was her birthday so I had agreed to go with her to this special French Restaurant called La ferme de L'hopital.

We were lucky the weather was nice so we were sitting outside. I can't remember the last I eat so much - I don't think I have to eat for the rest of the weekend! I have inserted some picture of our what we got.
picture above shows the entree, however first we got the Amuse bouche
which is a small which was melon soup and creme brulee with foie-gras. Sounds special but it was really good. I won't go into the ethical discussion of this just say it tested really well. However, back to my entree which was again foie-gras with pistachios.
My main plate was then Dorade royale, en filet, ravioli de fenouil confit et coriandre
Sabayon de coquillages, chips de son bulbe - yummy! On top of that cheese, a ris au lait - creme brulee with berries - as I though that was it - by then I thought I could roll home! instead of taking the car. That was not it -then there was chocolate cake, one of those that are runny inside with some sorbet on top! then coffee and of course as you will see from the next picture a little something for the coffee!
Ok I don't quite get this layout - but I guess it will look better next time.
It funny I was just thinking write this is a bit like talking to your self!
Anyway as you can imaging it was not cheap - but it is not something I do everyday - and once in a while it is good to do something that is a bit more elegant than eating cheese fondue or rosti!!

Maybe I should mentioned that this morning I was up to early to get photos of the Bol d'or race - however, I did see the boats later when I went shopping - but of course I had left the camera at home. ( picture next year!)

Saturday morning

Got up early this morning - a bit difficult since I was not in bed until 1am. I cam home late however, that hadn't stop my nabours from putting together their IKEA flatpacks all evening. So by 12.30 I just had to say something....

Anyway I was up early today as it was the yearly Bol d'or race starting this morning. It is a race which takes place every year at lake Leman (lake in Geneva, Switzerland). The sail from Geneva early in the morning on Saturday and race to the order end and back. If the wind is right and you are a good sailor you will be back sometime during night however, if there is no wind then it might take you until Sunday night. That has happened....

I find this program pretty easy to use though I struggle a little with the picture function. Like there is an archive for the posting I would like the same for my pictures -but I haven't found out how it works yet. Hopefully soon.

This weekend is going to be relaxed - going for a birthday lunch - that should be nice and the rest of the day I plan to knit on my new projects. I am totally into knitting baby cloth - not that I have one my self but I guess the project are sufficiently small for me to be sure to finish.... When I find out how to post several photos I will make a link to photos of my projects. Sunday is also just vegging out - visiting Sara and she here new adorable cats - I think I have another appointment - I just can't remember what - well I guess I will find out in time....Have a nice day!
